St. Therese is one of my FAVORITE saints of all time..I have a certain fondness for her..I don't know why..The picture above is one of my faves of her..But this one below is by far the best in my opinion..

I had a better picture like this saved, but I don't know what happened to it..But that's St. Therese always at the foot of her beloved..Her life was so brief, but she made such an impact on the whole world..

My Long Overdue Review..

Sorry that this review is so overdue, but life had gotten in the way..Plus with the new homeschool year, we've really gotten behind in somethings..So here is the review..

The book I had the privilege of reviewing is called "30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family" by Rebecca Hagelin..

I have been wanting to read this book for awhile..I had heard about it through some websites, and by word of mouth, so I was itching to read it..And when the Catholic Company had it for people to review, I jumped at the chance to get it..

This book is AWESOME in my opinion..There are so many tidbits of information about helping your family in this book that I can't list them all here..From the start of the book (the forward is by Sean Hannity) you know that this is what you've been waiting for. A book that is going to give you the information on how to save your family (your children mainly) from the decptions of the internet, etc..And the filth that is sometimes on the television, in books, and the computer.

One of my favorite chapters in the book is "Make Your Home Inviting, Warm, And..Fun!" This chapter helps you not to make your home a "NO!" Zone..Which is often my down fall..Ms. Hagelin lets you know that it's ok to say "Yes" to things..She also informs people of how to make your house warm & inviting to kids, family & friends..

At the end of every chapter are 2 items that can aide you in your reading..There is the ACT NOW box (which lets you date & sign the box so you can take action immediately and remember what you wrote..) & there is the MORE HELP box (which will give you websites or books that can also help you in your journey)

There is advice from other parents who are going through & trying to "save" their families(which was extremely helpful to me)..

All in all this is a REALLY GREAT book!! I would recommend it to anyone. Ms. Hagelin makes helping your family be safe from all the evils in the world, internet, television, etc..easy, fun, and most of all informative..I give this book 2 thumbs up..

Yes...I'm Still Here!!

Well for whoever reads this blog (which probably aren't many..LOL)..I am still here..I just have been very busy with life..Plus Bob has started school (long story), and it's just been hectic trying to get a schedule down..

But the good news is that we have started school!! We started Aug.31st..The kids are doing well so far..I'm using a new program to track there schooling..It's called http://www.homeschooltracker.com. I am trying to get used to it, but it's helping me out tremendously..

I am the mother of a Senior High student!! I can't believe it!! Life has been moving so fast around here..

Jen is going to the Matt Maher concert tonight..I love Matt Maher..I told her to take lots of pictures since I can't go..

You would think after how many years of blogging I'd have this link stuff down!! Well it's almost 5am here..I think I'd better try & get some sleep..I will update as soon as I can..

Finally Getting To It

I found the paper with Jenna's classes for Grade 11..There isn't to much on it

Religion - Baltimore Catechism #3

History- Christ & The Americas + The Workbook also

Grammar - Voyages in English 8 (she didn't like this to well)

Reading - 4 Novels - Red Badge of Courage, Scarlet Letter, To Kill A Mockingbird & The House of Seven Gables

Science - Spectrum Science 6

Math - Saxon 7/6

Spanish - Spanish Booklet Level 1 Middle/High School

Electives - Drivers Ed

Plus she attended Youth Group, had field trips, & went to the March for Life in Wash. D.C.

I know there is more that she did, but I can't remember everything. This is just the basics of her year. She will have more this coming year.

Well It's Done..

I sent in my Objectives for the 09-10 year. Summer is winding down. We start back to school Aug. 31st..This time has flown by so quick.. Pretty soon it'll be Christmas!! But I'm so excited to get back to the learning..Especially since this is Jen's senior year..It's going to be great!!

Girls & Glasses

Well, we finally took the kids to the eye doctors. And the verdict was in. Jen & Ari needed glasses. Trevor has a slight astigmatism, but he doesn't need glasses now. Maybe in the future. So here are the girls with their new glasses. They both love them.

I am feeling better. I'm getting rid of my bronchitis alittle at a time. I will write more later.
